The short version: this website sits still while you read it, and the only things it ever holds are the ones you typed in on purpose.
kerrypastine.com runs free of analytics, cookies, tracking pixels and advertising tags. The fonts, the stylesheet, the scripts and every image are served from this domain, so reading a page here keeps every other company out of it.
The web host keeps ordinary server logs, which record the address of the machine making a request and which file it asked for. That is a standard part of running a website, and Kerry leaves them alone.
This site has two forms that ask for an email address: the quiz result and the free first chapter of the book. When you send one, your address goes straight to MailerLite, the service that sends the letter and holds the list. MailerLite is processing that address on Kerry’s behalf, and that permission covers sending the letter and stops there. The website itself keeps zero, because it is a set of static files and storage is beyond what they can do.
The contact form on the talk page goes to Web3Forms, which does one job: it turns what you typed into an email to Kerry and retains the message only long enough to deliver it. What she receives is an ordinary message from you, answered the ordinary way. If you would rather cut that out entirely, her address is printed beside the form and writing to it directly reaches exactly the same inbox.
Letters from Lisbon goes out when there is something worth saying. Your address is used to send it, and that is its only job. It stays out of every sale, rental, swap and handover to somebody else’s list. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link. One click gets you out, and that is the whole exit.
Anything you say in a session, write on an intake form, or send between sessions is confidential. It stays between the two of you, and sharing it, quoting it or using it as an example takes your written permission first. The exception is the one every practitioner has: where the law requires disclosure, or where somebody is in immediate danger.
The testimonials on this site are published with permission, and the people who gave them chose how they wanted to be described.
Every payment happens somewhere else. The paperback is sold by Lulu, the ebook by Gumroad, and signed copies, paintings and coaching are arranged directly by email and invoiced through a payment provider at that point. Card numbers stay with the payment provider, out of Kerry’s hands and off this site.
Kerry lives in Portugal, so the GDPR applies to all of this. You can ask what she holds about you, ask her to correct it, ask her to delete it, or object to it being processed at all. Write to her and she will do it. The whole procedure is an email, because Kerry is the entire department.
This site is meant for adults, and everything on it is aimed at people over sixteen. If Kerry learns that an address belongs to a child, she deletes it.
The date at the top is the date it last changed. Anything more significant than a correction to the wording will be said in the letter as well, rather than edited in on the sly.
